Dale Bennett has been working in the dance industry for over 25 years, first as a dancer. He won many titles, including. International Juvenile Championship, Danish & Scandinavian 10 dance Championships, ‘Open British Youth’ finalist and represented both England and Denmark in many international competitions.
Having retired at the age of 22 from competitive dancing due to injury Dale worked as a teacher/choreographer in the USA from 2001 till 2006. He returned to the UK early 2007 and along with other members of his family opened ‘City-Limits Dancentre’ in Sheffield.
As one of the largest dance studios in Europe City-Limits is a centre of excellence for some of the top British competitive dance couples and a place for total inclusion for all who wish to dance across all ages. Dale now spends his time teaching some of the top dancers in the country and judging many national and international dance competitions. Dale is a member of the I.D.T.A and the World Dance & Dansport Council.
As a member of the Essentially Dance team Dale aim is to get more children in the UK dancing and engaged in a higher levels of activity. Dale's key area of work is to lead on the development of the materials and worked with Sue and Lorraine to write the guides that form part of the package.
